One has to consider simply the fact that iPadPro vs Surface/Wacom is a Desktop vs Mobile OS Interaction workflow. ![]() The iPadPro, iOS, and Pencil have a certain set of disadvantages when you compare the pure facts.īut how much does this really impact you in being productive? Are we too lazy to get used to a different interaction method? Not because it is an Apple productīut because it works better than Wacom. Thus you cannot have a tool preview hovering in your painting without clickingĬannot connect to external USB storage devices - can only share files via WiFiĪfter one week of sketching it is a terrific drawing tool and I will never use my Wacom Cintiq again. This is written not to sell somebody to get an iPadPro but more to provide a fair comparison without biasīased on my work work and sketching experience. Is the iPadPro still just an oversized mediaĬonsumption tool like all iOS / Android tablets or is there a potential for this being a productive tool. So I was curious about how the iPadPro would stack up compared to the other two products. In my studio I work with OS X and Windows based on what application I need. I also have access to a Wacom Cintiq and one of my students uses a MS Surface Pro. ![]()
